Praised by the virtuous, O Beautiful Mother Earth, Golden sister of the moon,
Muni-gaṇa mandita mokṣha-pradāyinī, Manjula bhāṣhinī veda-nute,
Adorned with good qualities, You give liberation, You have beautiful speech and all Knowledge,
Pañkaja-vāsinī deva-supūjita, Sad-guṇa varṣhini sānti-yute,
Dwelling in a lotus and worshipped by the Gods, You shower good qualities, O Joyful Goddess,
Jay jay he Madhu-sūdana kāminī; Ādi-lakṣhmi sadā pālaya-mām (x2)
Victory to the Ever-loving Killer of the demon Madhu, Primordial Goddess, protect me always,
Ayi-kali kalmaṣha nāśhinī kāminī, Vaidika rūpiṇī veda-maye,
You come in this Kali Yuga to remove darkness, O loving Goddess in the Form of Sacred Knowledge,
Kṣhīra samud-bhava mañgala rūpiṇī, Mantra nivāsinī mantra-nute,
O Auspicious Form who arose from the Ocean of milk, You reside in the mantras that praise You,
Mañgala dāyinī ambuja-vāsinī, Deva-gaṇ’āsrita pāda-yute,
You give auspiciousness and abide in a lotus, The Gods and Gaṇas take refuge at Your Feet,

Victory to the Ever-loving Killer of the demon Madhu, Goddess who gives happiness, protect me always.
Jaya-vara varṇinī vaiṣhṇavi bhārgavi, Mantra svarūpiṇī mantra-maye,
Victory to You O Shakti of Shrī Viṣhṇu of shining colours, You are the Form of all mantras,
Sura Gaṇa pūjita śhīghra phala prada, Gñyāna vikāsinī śhāstra-nute,
Gods and Gaṇas worship You to speedily fulfill their desires, O, Knowledge of all sacred literature,
Bhava-bhaya hāriṇī pāpa-vimochani, Sādhu-jin‛āsrita pāda-yute,
You remove all anxiety and wickedness, the virtuous take refuge at Your Feet,

Jay jay durgati nāśhinī kāminī, Sarva phala-prada śhāstra-maye,
Victory to the ever-loving Destroyer of our miseries, Giver of all fruits and knowledge,
Ratha-gaja-turaga padāti sam-āvṛita, Parijana mandita loka-nute,
Chariots, elephants, horses and servants surround You, and you are worshipped by the world,
Hari hara brahma supūjita sevita, Tāpa nivārinī pāda-yute,
Shri Viṣhṇu, Shiva and Brahma serve in Your Pūja, affliction is warded off by Your Lotus Feet,

Ayi-khaga vahinī mohinī chakrinī, Rāga vivardhinī gñyāna maye,
Riding on Shri Garuda, beautiful, wielding a discus, devoid of passion, full of wisdom,
Guṇa-gaṇa vāradhi loka hitaiṣhinī, Swara-sapta bhūṣhita gāna-nute,
You are in the highest meditation, O Well-being of the world who is praised with the seven notes.
Sakala surāsura deva muni swara, Manava vandita pāda-yute,
In reverend voices the Gods, demons, sages and humans worship at Your Lotus Feet.

Victory to the Ever-loving Killer of the demon Madhu, Goddess who gives offspring, protect me always,
Jaya kamal‛āsinī sat-gati-dāyinī, Gñyāna vikāsinī gāna-maye,
Jay Lotus-seated Giver of happiness, You give knowledge and sacred songs,
Anudinam-archita kumkuma chandana, Bhūṣhita vāsita vādya-nute,
Worshipped daily, decorated with kum-kum and sandalwood and praised with music
Kanaka dharā stuti vaibhava vandita, Śhañkara desika mānya-pade,
Wearing gold, praised with verses in Your glory, Lord Shiva is to be found at Your venerable Feet

Pranata sureśhwari bhārati bhargavī, Śhoka vināśhinī ratna-maye,
We bow to the Goddess of radiant eloquence O, jewel-like Remover of anguish
Manimaye bhūṣhita karṇa vibhūṣhana, Śhānti samāvrata hāsya-mukhe,
Richly adorned with jewels and earrings, Your smiling face bestows peace.
Nava-vidhi dāyinī kali-mala hāriṇī, Kāmita phala-prada hasta-yute,
You give nine forms of devotion and remove impurities, Your hands fulfil all our desires,

Dhimi dhimi dhin-dhima dhin-dhima dhin-dhima, Dun-dubhi nāda supūrṇa-maye,
You are pleased with the sound of loud drums
Dhuma dhuma dhum-dhuma dhum-dhuma dhum-dhuma, Śhañkhani-nāda suvādya-nute,
Worshipped with the blowing of conches and beautiful singing,
Veda purāne tihāsa supūjita, Vaidika mārga pradarsa-yute,
The Gods smilingly worship You in the way proscribed in the Vedas and Puranas.
